The State is sin institutionalized and justified by the world’s most powerful men. They have claimed for themselves a legal environment in which evil actions are approved. Their chief goals are power and money and yet they pass off their actions under the banner of caring for the citizenry.
Any Christian who wants to justify the existence of the State must first find a reason why “Thou Shall Not Steal” and “Though Shall Not Murder” do not apply to certain people. The State is the antithesis of Biblical ethics. Perhaps one might object that society must have some law, some structure and order of things. But these things can and should be done by voluntary firms so as to stay consistent with the same standards of morality that we teach our children.
The source of our rights is God. The source of the abuse of those rights is sin.
